Advanced Search Control

Tools => Advanced Search Control

This tool allows you to search for processes, products, resources and plant information. Regular properties like ID, Name, Description, Time etc. as well as custom field information can be searched. The tool provides two search criteria, report for the result set, where used report as well as an option to delete.

Steps for searching:

1. Select the entity to be searched – Product, Process, Resource or Plants

2. Type: Either select a particular type or all

3. Search Type: Either search inputting a criteria or unused entities.

4. Criteria: You can choose up to two search criteria. You can search for a standard field or a custom field

And click the ‘Search’.

Report List

To generate a report for the results set, click the ‘Report List’ button after searching. You can select multiple rows if needed.

Where Used Report

After a search, you can select one or multiple rows in the result list and click on the ‘Where Used Report’

Deleting

After a search, select the rows you would like to delete (multiple rows can be selected) and select ‘Delete’. If an entity is being used, you will not be allowed to delete it.

Searching for unused entities

The tool also provides the user with an option to search for unused entities. To do this, change the search type to ‘Get Unused’
