Note: The same mBOM options are available for all items and raw materials with the exception of Process Mapping
Header Tab
| • | Allows users to edit Name, Description, Quantity, and Effectivity dates. |
| • | Images can also be attached in the header tab. All images attached will appear in the bottom half of the window. |
| • | To attach an image, click on the "Attach Image" button, select your picture and click "OK". |
Process Mapping Tab (Assembly only)
| • | Allows users to Add, Remove, or Edit Quantity for the mapped process. |
Product Custom Fields Tab
| • | Users can enter/edit a value for a previously created custom field. |
| • | To enter a value, click on the cell and type. |
Supplier Mapping Tab
| • | Users can map suppliers to an assembly by selecting this tab and choosing from previously defined supplier list. To see how to add suppliers to this list, reference the Supplier Library section. |
| • | This feature also allows you to define Lot-Size, Cost, Taxes, etc. |
| • | Multiple suppliers can be mapped to a single component. |
Steps for mapping a supplier to an assembly (Reference Figure 2 below)
| 1. | Click the "Add" button located at the bottom right corner of the window.This will bring up a new window which will allow you to select previously defined suppliers. |
| 2. | Select the desired supplier from the list and then click the arrow located to the right of the "Supplier Name" box. |
| 3. | Next, add the additional information you would like (Lot-Size, Cost, Taxes, etc.). |
| 4. | Click the "OK" button and the supplier's information will now appear in the Supplier Mapping window. |
| 5. | Repeat this process to map additional suppliers to the component. |
| 6. | Each supplier added will be assigned a "Rank" number. To edit their rank status, select the supplier and click on the "UP" or "Down" arrows. The supplier with a rank of "1" is the default supplier for the component. |
