1. Header Tab

 

Allows users to edit Name, Description, Quantity, and Effectivity dates.
Images can also be attached in the header tab.  All images attached will appear in the bottom half of the window.
To attach an image, click on the "Attach Image" button, select your picture and click "OK".

 

2. Process Mapping Tab

 

Allows users to Add, Remove, or Edit Quantity for the mapped process.

 

3 Product Custom Fields Tab

 

Users can enter/edit a value for a previously created custom field.
To enter a value, click on the cell and type.

 

4 Supplier Mapping Tab

 

Users can map suppliers to an end item by selecting this tab and choosing from previously defined supplier list. To see how to add suppliers to this list, reference the Supplier Library section.
This feature also allows you to define Lot-Size, Cost, Taxes, etc.
Multiple suppliers can be mapped to a single component.

 

 

       Steps for mapping a supplier to an end item (Reference Figure 2 below)

 

1.Click the "Add" button located at the bottom right corner of the window.This will bring up a new window which will allow you to select previously defined suppliers.
2.Select the desired supplier from the list and then click the arrow located to the right of the "Supplier Name" box.
3.Next, add the additional information you would like (Lot-Size, Cost, Taxes, etc.).
4.Click the "OK" button and the supplier's information will now appear in the Supplier Mapping window.
5.Repeat this process to map additional suppliers to the component.
6.Each supplier added will be assigned a "Rank" number.  To edit their rank status, select the supplier and click on the "UP" or "Down" arrows. The supplier with a rank of "1" is the default supplier for the component.

5 Option Mix Mapping Tab

 

Users can map options mixes to an end item and also define the processes/parts which belong to a specific model.

 

       Steps for mapping an option mix to an end item (Reference Figure 3 below)

 

1.Click on the "Add" button located at the bottom right corner of the window.  This will cause the "Add Mixes" window to appear.
2.All of the available options will appear in this list.  If you want to add an option to this list, please reference the  "Option Library" section.  Select the desired option and then click "OK".
3.To remove an added option, click on the "Remove" command.

       Steps for mapping processes/parts to a specific option (Reference Figure 4-6 below)

 

1.Select an option from the "Available Option Mix" window.
2.Next, click on the "Edit Child Options" button located in the bottom right corner of the window. Note: The "Edit Child Options" feature is most critical for users trying to do a mixed model balance
3.There are two tab pages, one for optional processes and one for optional products. Click on the                           Add/Remove button.

4.Select from the tree, the optional parts and processes. Either double click on them or use the arrow button in the middle.

5.For products, modify the product quantity and take rate of the optional parts. If a part does not belong to an model set the quantity of that part as zero. The user can also modify the take rate which is the probability of occurrence of that part.

6.For processes, check the applicable check box under each option mix and also set the take rate. For processes that are not mapped to an option mix, the tree order column will appear in red.

7.The model mapping indicates that the process will be carried out on the line only for certain models. Th euser can similarly map options to a process. Note: The option mapping can only be done for option values that belong to the same option category. In order to map options to a process, double click on the Option rule column and select the option values to be mapped. The user can either click on the option values or click on the Add button after selecting the option value.
