Overview

 

Work Instructions from Line Balancing Scenarios, Processes and Resources can be published to the thin client.  Any one of these work instructions can be published multiple times. The thin client administration allows you to delete published entities, change current versions, change effectivity etc. (Refer to the thin client administration section for more information)

 

Note:

1. The thin client provides versioning. If you republish the scenario, the scenario is published with a higher version number. You will have to set the current version of the Work Instructions in the Admin tool. Click on the scenario & set the required version.

 

2. The thin client provides a feature to facilitate ‘Approvals’. A scenario is published with a “Not Approved” status. Once the Work Instructions is approved,  the “Approved” flag has to be changed to ‘True’  in the Admin tool

            1. Entity tab - Line balance scenarios, Resource or Process Work Instructions

            2. List of scenarios, resources or processes to be published

            3. Select the appropriate publishing server

            4. Set the effectivity data on the published work instruction

 

Publishing Steps

 

1.   To publish : Tools menu=> Publishing

2.   Depending on the entity you want to publish (Line Balancing Scenarios, Resources, Processes) select the appropriate tab.

3.   Select the scenario you would like to publish.  You can select multiple entities. Should you publish multiple entities, do note that properties like effectivity, archive, report style etc will be the same.

4.   Select the Report Style (if applicable), archive, effectivity (if this is enabled choose the effectivity dates) and select publish
