Template Manager

Overview

The Template Manager helps the user to manage the different templates that are used in the modules in the application.

There are currently five types of templates in the Template Manager: Time Estimation Standards, Work Instructions, Reports, Ergonomics and Images. The template manager organizes the template files by the type.

1. Select template type

Using the Template Manager

 

1. The drop down window allows you to select a template type to view or add the different files for a certain template type.

 

2. If the user wants to add a new template for one of the 5 modules, the file needs to be imported to the application.

 

3. Clicking “Import” button, allows to uses to add the necessary template files to the database. For example,in order to use a different work instruction template, the user should select Work Instruction in the drop down window and import the new work instruction template to the database.

 

4. User can export any template using “Export” button. Exporting a template does not remove it from the template manager. “Refresh” button allows the user to refresh the templates on the local machine.

 

5. User can delete any template using “Delete” button.

 

6. User can check the properties of any template file using “Properties” button.

 

7. “Views” button allows user to change the view.

 

8. The template manager supports,Check In and Check Out.

 

“Check Out” button allows the user to modify the template already present in the database instead of importing a new one. After pressing “Check Out” button, the lock symbol next to the template changes to check mark as shown in the image above and “Check In” and “Undo Check Out” buttons get enabled.

 

“Check In” button allows user to save the change made in the template after check out.

 

10. “Undo Check Out” button allows user to discard all the changes made in the template after check out and revert back to old template.

 

Note: All new templates and reports must be loaded into the database through the template manager.
