All resources can be tracked within the resource management module of Proplanner.

Defining any type of resource including tools, platforms, or even operators can be done as easily as adding another item in a tree. These resources can later be accounted for within Line Balancing or shown within the Work Instructions.

Resource Management Features

  • Store Resource Information. Users can Store information like machine specifications, breakdowns, setup, costs, images, etc.
  • Customizable data. Resource data tables can be customized by the user for specific data not currently found in the resource manager.
  • Establish Different Classes. With Predefined classes for Operators, Machines, and Material Handling Devices, engineers can determine if there are enough resources and determine the cost advantage of using alternative resources.
  • Classify Resources. Users can classify resources as existing or planned for the different manufacturing processes.
  • Estimate resources. Process engineers can Store estimation tables and formulas for resources to determine resource cost estimates.

Benefits

  • Improve Use of Resources. By compiling and storing all equipment and resource classes, the information can be used for manufacturing costing analyses and line balancing.
  • Reduce Costs. With different classes assigned to resources, process engineers can choose the least expensive resources for each operation to reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Easily access data. By storing all types of resources in an assembly tree, process engineers can quickly find any resource and assign it as necessary.
