When you get to the task details screen of the line balance wizard you see a preview of the tasks that are going to be brought into this scenario once it's created. You can set the time units for this scenario by clicking on this drop-down and when I switch from seconds to minutes you'll see that my time is converted into the new time unit.
You can scroll through this list of tasks and if there are any for any reason that you want to exclude from the balance then you can select those rows click exclude and now they won't be considered in your balance scenario. If you want to re-include them just click the include button and when you're done you can click Next.
